handwritten

as i prepare a letter for the mail
i realize how circular our tale
for we of instant internet phone connections
have reverted to the pony express
and handwritten forms of address
because we long for
an older way
of communicating
that leaves records
boxed up & passed
on,
so genearations later
people hear the same song.
